Staff Assistant - State Farm Agent Team Member

We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to join our team of Insurance professionals. Our team specializes in promoting State Farm's diverse portfolio of insurance and financial service products and is an independent State Farm Agency.

No insurance experience? No problem! This is an entry level position, with room for growth within our office. Must be willing/able to procure a Property & Casualty and Life & Health Insurance producer license within 8 weeks of job offer.


Job Overview
The primary focus of this role is to assist the Insurance Account Representative sales team in achieving the agency’s growth objectives and sales goals. The majority of the role’s responsibilities revolve around computer-based tasks and frequent communication with customers, so having excellent computer and customer service skills are a must. This position will report directly to the State Farm Agent.
 
Responsibilities
·         Create insurance quotes for new/existing customers
·         Make marketing calls to generate new leads and prospects
·         Collect required documentation and information from customers
·         Contact customers to setup general and product specific meetings
·         Assist customers in resolving any issues/answering any questions they may have about State Farm products and services

Additional duties
·         Answering phones
·         Maintain timely phone/text/email communications with customers
·         Assist in completing daily/weekly/monthly sales tasks

Requirements
·         Associate degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or related field -OR- equivalent work experience; Bachelor's degree -OR- equivalent work experience preferred
·         Ability to obtain Property & Casualty and Life & Health Insurance producer licenses within the specified time frame
·         Enthusiasm for marketing products and services tailored to meet customer needs
·         Proficient in Windows 11, Microsoft Office and Teams; Experience with Salesforce, CRM or eCRM programs is a plus
·         Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
·         Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
·         Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
·         Must be a team player and enjoy working closely with a small team

Benefits
·         Hourly pay of $18.00 - $20.00 DoE
·         Paid time off; both vacation and sick leave
·         Flexible work schedule; 20-29 hours/week Monday-Friday. With possible full-time hours available for the right person
·         Hybrid office/work from home possible after completing 6 months of employment- subject to Agent’s discretion 
·         Reimbursement of all Licensing costs/fees after 90-day probationary period
·         Free snacks and drinks provided in office
